Project Description

My research area is mainly on explaining the crystallization of pathological crystals from a chemical engineering perspective. Pathological crystals, briefly, are crystals that the immune system reacts to when they are formed in the body. Therefore, it is important to reveal the factors affecting the formation of these pathological crystals under simulated physiological conditions (in vitro) and the effects of these factors on crystallization kinetics. While revealing these effects, my main point of view is to propose the most suitable mathematical models for the nature of the crystal and to analyze and optimize these models by supporting them with experimental data. After all, my main goal is to make the crystallization in physiological conditions definable and controllable in line with the needs, with the model that best describes the system, and to ensure that these crystals can be controlled without causing any pathological effects in the body.
